Notification for engagement of Para-Medical Staff in Group “C” on contract basis in view of COVID-19 pandemic for Southern Railway, Chennai.
In view of the exigencies related with the COVID-19 pandemic and in view of the adequate preparedness, Southern Railway has been decided to engage paramedical staff for the post as mentioned below on contract basis for Southern Railway Hospital, Chennai. Eligibile candidates having the following qualifications, age, experience and fulfilling other terms and conditions may appear before the Selection Board for walk-in-intervie along with duly filled in application form in the given format (which is available on official website) with the all relevant certificates/ testimonials in original and self attested copies of each.
Name of the post – Doctors
No. of vacancies – 72
Qualification – M.B.B.S. and registered with the Indian Medical Council. Two years experience is desirable. Specialization in Anaesthesia/ Physician/ Intervisitors will be given preference.
Age Limit – Belw 50 years.
Salary – Rs. 75,000/- fixed and for Specialist Rs. 95,000/- per month.
Name of the post – Nursing Staff
No. of vacancies – 120
Qualification – Certified as a registered Nurse & Midwife having passed 03 years course in General Nursing and Midwifery from School of Nursing or other Institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council or B.Sc(Nursing). Experience/trained in ICU/ Dialysis Unit/ Ventilators is preferable.
Age Limit – Between 20 to 40 years.
Salary – Rs. 44,900/- + Allowances.
Name of the post – Lab Assistant

Qualification – 12th (10+2 stage) with Science, plus Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) from a recognised university
Age Limit – Between 18 to 33 years.
Salary – Rs. 21,700/- + Allowances.
Name of the post – Radiographer

Qualification – 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry and Diploma in Radiography/X-Ray Technician/Radio diagnosis Technology (2 years course) from recognized institution. Science graduates with Diploma in Radiography/XRay Technician /Radio diagnosis Technology (2 years course) shall be preferred.
Age Limit – Between 20 to 33 years.
Salary – Rs. 29,200/- + Allowances.
