Rivers in Maharashtra

Godavari – The Godavari is India’s second longest river after the Ganga. Its source is in Triambakeshwar, District – Nashik, Maharashtra. It flows east for 1,465 km go into into Bay of Bengal pass through the states Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and Karnataka.

Krishna – The Krishna River is the fourth-biggest river in terms of water inflows and river basin area in India, after the Ganga, Godavari and Brahmaputra. The river is almost 1,400 kilometres long. The river is also known as Krishnaveni. Its source is in Mahabaleshwar, District – Satara, Maharashtra.

Bhima – The Bhima River’s origin place is Khed Taluka, District – Pune, Maharashtra near Bhimashankar Temple. It flows for 861 km through Maharashtra, Karnataka and Telangana State.
